"It’s What’s Inside That Counts"

Chicago, IL (September 6, 2005) – With 15 years experience as the leading monthly magazine for general counsel and other in-house legal executives, Corporate Legal Times is relaunching the magazine under the name InsideCounsel beginning with the January 2006 issue. A complete redesign of the magazine and web site will accompany the name change.

"The role of in-house counsel has evolved significantly since we first started publishing the magazine," said Nat Slavin, publisher of InsideCounsel. "Fifteen years ago our readers were viewed as just corporate lawyers. Today they are much more than lawyers. They are among the most important members of the CEO’s executive team. They are corporate insiders. The new name recognizes that evolution."

The redesign of the magazine also reflects that change. InsideCounsel’s design will be more contemporary, accessible and reader-friendly than its predecessor. It will feature more access points to articles, a clearer layout and a more contemporary business look and feel. InsideCounsel will be smaller in size (9.125" by 11.687") than its tabloid-sized predecessor, making it easier to read and carry in a briefcase. It also will feature improved paper quality, giving it a more sophisticated appearance and longer shelf life.

"We geared our new design toward an executive readership—making it easier for them to find the content that is of most importance to them," said Robert Vosper, executive editor of InsideCounsel. "Although the magazine content will not change, we wanted the experience of reading the magazine to be easier and more enjoyable. We also wanted the magazine design to better reflect who our readers are and the sophisticated work they do."

InsideCounsel will remain true to the editorial mission of Corporate Legal Times, which is providing must-read content to help in-house counsel better manage their legal departments and keep abreast of the legal and regulatory changes that are impacting corporate America.

"Our articles are written to help readers become better managers and more informed in-house lawyers," Vosper said. "That will not change with the relaunch. We will continue to publish the articles that have made Corporate Legal Times the leading magazine for in-house counsel."

Coinciding with the new name, look and feel of the magazine will be the relaunch of a new Web site. The current site, http://www.corporatelegaltimes.com/, will remain active during the transition, but visitors will see that, like the magazine, the new Web site at http://www.insidecounsel.com/ will be more user-friendly and will feature original content, as well as published content from the magazine. It also will contain information for advertisers, subscription information, conference updates and additional resources, such as a professional services directory for in-house lawyers. Additionally, the Corporate Legal Times SuperConference will emerge in 2006 as the InsideCounsel SuperConference. This year’s conference will be held in Chicago from April 18-19 and will feature a number of keynote speakers, including Mark Belnick, the former general counsel of Tyco.

"Our goal is to offer the best content in the industry for in-house counsel, from the magazine to the SuperConference," Slavin said. "With the magazine and web site relaunch, we have made it easier for our readers to access that content."

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, InsideCounsel (http://www.insidecounsel.com/) is the premier monthly business publication for general counsel and other in-house counsel.
