Green Named Editor-in-Chief of Investment Advisor Magazine

Fairfield, Connecticut (August 5, 2005) – Douglas J. Manoni, chief executive officer of WICKS Business Information, announced that James J. "Jamie" Green has been named editor-in-chief of Investment Advisor magazine, effective immediately, with responsibility for directing the editorial operations of the magazine and its electronic newsletters. Green, who has been serving as editor of the magazine, will also be responsible for program development of Investment Advisor’s annual conference, the Wealth Advisor Summit.

Green has more than 20 years experience in print and electronic journalism. He joined Investment Advisor in January of 1999 as managing editor, when the business was owned by Dow Jones & Company, became executive editor in 2000, and was appointed editor of the magazine in 2001. Prior to joining Investment Advisor, he worked for nine years at The New York Times, where he held several editorial positions, including editor of TimesFax, an electronic version of the newspaper of record. In the 1980s he served as the editor of Tele/Scope, a pioneering New York-based electronic news service that covered the telecommunications business, as well as the editor of Telecommunications Research, a monthly journal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from St. Hyacinth College in Massachusetts and studied theology on the graduate level.

In addition, Robert F. Keane, another veteran journalist who joined Investment Advisor in 2004, has been appointed managing editor of the magazine, reporting to Green. As a former magazine editor and publisher himself, Keane has written a number of groundbreaking articles for Investment Advisor, including his recent cover stories exploring behavioral finance and the place of religious faith in financial planning.
